EVENTS AND RULES:

1.  EXTEMPORE:

·        Participants will have to speak on the spot for a topic, without preparation.

·        Time: 1 minute.

·        20 entries per year-(maximum).

2.  PRESS MEET:

·        Participants will be given a “personality” and will have to play them in a press meet and defend the questions in                      his/her    favour.

·        Time: 3 minutes.

·        20 entries per year-(maximum)

3.  SHIPWRECK:

·        Situation: all the participants are aboard on imaginary ship, which is about to sink. But there is only one lifeboat…only             one participant can escape.

·        Each participant can assume the role of any personality he/she chooses, and will have to speak on his ability, to defend         only he/she is the only eligible person to escape.

·        20 entries per year.

4.  SCRABBLE:

·        Board game. Question sheets will be provided.

·        Standard dictionary will be used.

·        2 per team and Unlimited entries per year.

5.  SWITCH:

·        1 minute duration.

·        Speak “for” and “against” a topic whenever you are prompted.

·        Unlimited entries per year.

6.  CLUEDO:

·        Your chance to be 007!!!

·        Solve mysteries and cases.

·        Written event

·        Further instructions will be given during the event.

7.  JAM:

·        Just-a-minuteJ

·        Speak without mistakes and point out others mistakes.

·        Unlimited entries per year.

·        Further instructions will be given during the event.

8.  20-20:

·        Find out the right answer within 20 questions!

·        3 per team.

·        Maximum of 10 teams per year.

·        Further instructions will be given during the event.

9.  DUMB-C:

·        No words…only actions!!!

·        3 per team.

·        Maximum of 10 teams per year.

10.CROSSIE:

·        Standard crossword puzzle.

·        Written event and unlimited entries per year.

11. VERSE FORM:

·        Poetry writing.

·        Individual event.

·        Unlimited entries per year.

12. PIXIE:

·        Unravel the secret code!!!

·        Written event.

·        3 per team

·        Maximum of 20 teams per year.

·        Further instructions will be given during the event.

13. DROP A TALE:

·        Story writing event.

·        Individual event.

·        Unlimited entries per year.

14. NONSENSE UNLIMITED:

·         Written event

·        The event will be having a question paper consisting of humorous  and ridiculous questions…to which equally         humorous (and crazy J)replies will have to be given by participants.

·        More the humour, more the probability of winning.

·        Vulgarities obscenity will not be tolerated and will lead to immediate disqualification.

·        Unlimited entries per year.

15. TREASURE HUNT:

·        10 per year.

·        One team per year.

·        Only for boys (hostellers).

16.  QUIZ:

·        Written prelims.

·        Finals hosted on stage during GECOFEST.

·        3 per team.

17.  DRAMATRIX:

·        Drama event.

·        Any no. of teams per year and 15 per team.

·        Finalists based on script.

·        Backdrop, background music allowed.

·        Fire, water, all kinds of obscenities and vulgarities are strictly prohibited.

18.  E FEST EXHIBITION:-

                i.            MIME AND D-VISTA:

·        Conceptual stage acting

·        Only audio tracks are allowed(if necessary)

·        Duration- 3 minutes.

                  ii.            AD-ZAP:

·        Marketing event.

·        Duration- 3 minutes

19.  PANACHE:

·        Animation event.

·        No objectionable content allowed.

·        Soft copies to be given in CD on before March 8.
